Drum Trainer Pro Support

Last updated: July 19, 2026

About the app

Drum Trainer Pro turns an electronic drum kit into a timing trainer. Connect a USB-MIDI kit and every hit appears on a scrolling timeline the moment it lands, positioned exactly early or late of the beat, with per-drum meters showing which voices are rushing or dragging.

Getting started

Connect your electronic drum kit to your iPhone or iPad with a USB cable, open the app, and start playing. Hits appear on their own instrument lanes right away. Pick a tempo mode — Fixed to hold a BPM, Detect to follow your tempo, or Ramp for progressive speed-up drills.

No kit? Use the simulator

You do not need hardware to explore the app. Open Settings and switch on the built-in Simulator to generate hits, including different patterns, sloppiness modes, and tempo profiles.

Frequently asked

My kit is not being detected.
Check that the USB cable is a data cable and is firmly connected, and that your kit is powered on and set to send MIDI over USB. If your device needs a camera adapter or USB hub to supply power, make sure it is connected. Try unplugging and reconnecting the kit with the app open.
Which kits are supported?
The app ships with a full voice map for the Roland TD-27. Other USB-MIDI kits work too — open the note map in Settings and assign your kit's notes to the matching drums.
Does the app record audio?
No. It never uses the microphone. Session recording captures the timing of your MIDI hits, not sound.
Does it work offline?
Yes, entirely. The app makes no network calls, so every feature works with no internet connection.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your practice data is recorded and kept on your device, and the app has no network access at all, so nothing can be sent anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.
